PKR has just announced a tournament series that is targeted at small stake players.  This goes hand in hand with PKR trying to bring in more smaller stake players to their poker room by lowering the minimum deposit limit to $10 and adding a new bonus option for players who deposit between $10 and $50.  These new depositors also have exclusive access to the $0.02/$0.04 and $0.05/$0.10 beginners tables for their first month after depositing.  These would be great tables to try out the PKR software against other beginning players.

The PKR Small Stakes Championships start on March 30th and run until April 12th, with 14 events running during this time.  The event buy-ins range from $0.50 to $8, so this is truely a small stakes championship.  The winners of all 14 SSC tournaments, plus the top 6 finishers on the SSC leaderboard win entry into the Small Stakes Championship tournament of champions where the first place finishers takes home the PKR Majors Package.  This package includes seats in many big buy-in tournaments on PKR, totalling over $1K.

There will also be a $2K freeroll for everyone who participated in at least one SSC tournament.  Every tournament you enter earns you 250 chips in the freeroll, so the more tourneys you enter the better your chance will be in this $2K event.
